The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has overhauled its religious committee following a crucial meeting held in Ayodhya. The responsibility of overseeing religious rituals and deep-rooted traditions of the temple will now rest with a newly formed seven-member panel. Swami Govind Dev Giri, the current treasurer of the Trust, has been appointed to chair this committee. Giving significant weight to local spiritual leadership, five of the seven members in this newly constituted body will be seers from Ayodhya itself. However, the highly anticipated announcements regarding the new General Secretary and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Trust have been deferred.
Key Figures Attend High-Level Ayodhya Meeting
The high-level gathering in Ayodhya witnessed the participation of top office-bearers and prominent spiritual leaders associated with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The discussions took place in the presence of Trust President Mahant Nritya Gopal Das. Senior seers including Treasurer Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, Swami Vasudevanand Saraswati, and Swami Vishwaprasanna Teerth Ji Maharaj contributed to the deliberations. Additionally, Krishna Mohan, Dinesh Ji, Yug Purush Parmanand Giri Ji Maharaj, and Swami Dinendra Das were part of the extensive dialogue. Representing the administrative side, Ayodhya District Magistrate Shashank Tripathi and PS Lokhande, along with Swami Kamalnayan Das and various other members, were also present during the proceedings.
Suspense Continues Over CEO and General Secretary Posts
The primary expectation from this meeting was the announcement of a new General Secretary following the resignation of Champat Rai. Furthermore, there was widespread anticipation that two other positions within the Trust, which have remained vacant for a considerable period, would finally be filled. Nevertheless, the meeting concluded without any major declarations regarding these pivotal roles.
The selection process for the CEO position was a major topic of detailed discussion. The selection committee informed the Trust that they had received a massive influx of applications for the role. In light of the large volume of candidates, the committee requested an additional month to thoroughly review the applications and suggest suitable names. The Trust agreed to grant this extension, meaning that the appointment of the new CEO will require further waiting.
Expanding Operations Prompt Plans for Secretary and Spokesperson
With a continuously growing number of devotees visiting Ayodhya every day and the subsequent expansion of temple-related administrative work, the Trust has recognised the need for additional personnel. To ensure smooth management of these expanding operations, a decision was taken during the meeting to appoint a dedicated Secretary.
Alongside this, the Trust has also resolved to appoint an official Spokesperson. This move aims to establish a reliable channel for regularly sharing accurate information regarding the Trust's activities, important decisions, and daily operations. While the wait for the new General Secretary continues, the Trust has committed to filling its other vacant positions within the next week to maintain administrative efficiency.
