India delivered a stunning one-two finish late on the seventh day of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, as two para athletes swept gold and silver in the men's 100m Para T47 event on the night of July 29.

Dilip Mahadu Gawit, a para athlete from Maharashtra, clocked 10.71 seconds to win the gold medal, setting a new Games record in the process. Mohammed Basil Morsingnakath finished right behind him, completing the race in 10.83 seconds to claim the silver medal. England's Kevin Santos took third place with a time of 10.85 seconds, settling for the bronze medal.
What the T47 category means
The T47 category is reserved for athletes who have one arm that is missing or significantly weakened, a condition that affects both their running speed and their balance. Despite that challenge, Gawit and Morsingnakath sprinted down the track with a pace that left the rest of the field trailing behind them.
