A homegrown juice from Mizoram, made by entrepreneur Iffy, is drawing big crowds in Delhi these days. Marketed as more than just a drink, it is being sold as a superfood made entirely from organic fruits found only in Mizoram, one that is claimed to boost immunity and guard against serious health issues like diabetes and heart disease. Iffy says that drinking it just once a week can be enough to keep medicines away.
A Business Built Around Mizoram's Local Farmers
The juice is made from a variety of fruits grown in Mizoram, including pineapple along with several kinds of flowers. All these ingredients are sourced directly from local farmers in the state, giving them a direct stake in the business. The fruits are then processed into juice that Iffy describes as both tasty and an immunity booster. Everything, from growing the fruit to manufacturing the final juice, happens entirely within Mizoram.
Just Rs 70 For A 300 ml Bottle
Iffy has kept the juice affordable, pricing a 300 ml bottle at around Rs 70. She started making the juice last year and has now been at it for about one and a half years, steadily building the business and turning a consistent profit along the way.
Over 5 Lakh Bottles Sold In A Year
According to Iffy, more than 5 lakh bottles of the juice have already been sold in Mizoram alone, a number that reflects just how strong the local demand has been. Riding on that success, she is now taking the juice outside Mizoram for the first time, aiming to sell it across India, starting with Delhi.
Delhi Stall Draws Buyers And Bulk Orders
Iffy set up a stall at an event in Delhi, where the juice was met with an enthusiastic response. People are not just buying it on the spot but also placing bulk orders so they can stock up in larger quantities. Several visitors have also approached her seeking business ideas and advice based on her venture. The early success in Delhi has raised her hopes that the juice can soon build a following across the rest of the country.
Why It's Being Called Good For Health
Per Iffy's claims, the juice is not just a refreshment but a superfood. Regular consumption is said to strengthen the body's immunity, helping guard against seasonal illnesses. She also claims it can help protect against serious conditions like diabetes and heart disease, provided it is consumed regularly, at least once a week.
