Travelers looking to commute between Delhi and Daman can now do so without the hassle of long transit halts, as a direct flight connection has been officially established. Passengers previously had to change flights via Mumbai, but the launch of this new route has eliminated those layovers entirely, streamlining the journey between the two destinations.
Alliance Air Operations and Schedule
The direct flight service from Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport to Daman is being operated by Alliance Air. At present, the flight operates twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays. Flight number 9I-811 departs from Delhi at around 6:20 AM and completes a flight time of roughly 2.50 hours to land at Daman's Namo Airport at around 9:10 AM. On the return leg, flight number 9I-812 takes off from Daman at 9:35 AM and arrives back in Delhi around 12:25 PM.
A Historic Milestone for IGI Airport
With the addition of Daman to its route map, IGI Airport has achieved a notable distinction. It now stands as the only airport in the country offering direct flight connectivity to 32 out of the 36 states and union territories. This expansion brings direct travel options to 27 states and 5 union territories, allowing travelers to reach their final destinations without any intermediate layovers.
Connecting 90 Cities Nationwide
Following this latest integration, IGI Airport now provides direct flight services to 90 domestic airports across the country. The airport maintains a high frequency of operations, handling a domestic flight on average every single minute. Daily operations from the facility now exceed 1,050 domestic flights.
Leading Transfer Hub Status
Handling over 50 million domestic passengers every month, IGI Airport has also seen its monthly transit passenger numbers cross the 10 lakh mark. These numbers cement its position as the largest domestic transfer hub in the country. The expansion reflects ongoing efforts to link new cities and enhance overall connectivity.

Highlighting the focus on passenger convenience, Delhi International Airport Limited CEO Pradeep Panicker stated that the airport aims to make travel easier than ever and continues working alongside airlines to connect new destinations and deliver better connectivity.
