A major fire erupted on Monday near the outdoor perimeters of two prominent television production sets inside Mumbai Film City, triggering widespread alarm across the bustling studio complex. Thick plumes of black smoke quickly billowed into the air after flames were spotted emerging outside the working zones of Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 and MTV Hustle 5. The sudden blaze rapidly intensified within minutes, prompting immediate emergency calls as personnel on the ground moved back to ensure safety.
Emergency Response and Containment Operations
Because Film City continuously hosts round-the-clock filming schedules for various serials and cinematic ventures, the sudden outbreak of fire caused significant concern across neighboring stages. Video recordings circulating across social platforms captured a section of the outdoor structure being engulfed by leaping flames while onlookers maintained a safe perimeter. Fire engine units swiftly reached the location and commenced operations to douse the blaze and prevent it from spreading into adjacent indoor studios. Authorities confirmed that no casualties or injuries occurred during the entire episode.
Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 Floor Remained Inactive
Following the mishap, official statements from the respective show teams clarified the sequence of events. Representatives connected with Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 stated that the blaze remained confined to the exterior zone of their allocated setup. Fortunately, no production work was actively underway at the specific moment of the incident, leaving the stage completely vacant and preventing any immediate risk to human life.
MTV Hustle 5 Grand Finale Stage Evacuated Promptly
In contrast, the situation required immediate action on the MTV Hustle 5 floor, where the crew was actively filming the reality show's grand finale episode. A full roster of artists, competitors, and technical personnel was present inside the facility when the smoke became visible. Demonstrating prompt presence of mind, security and stage managers executed an immediate evacuation of the entire floor. The production unit confirmed that all on-screen talent and crew members reached safety without sustaining any injuries. The exact origin and cause of the fire remain undetermined, with emergency authorities actively probing the incident following total containment.
Current Formats of the Two Reality Franchises
Both productions represent major television properties currently drawing extensive viewer attention. Pati Patni Aur Panga 2 serves as the second installment of the celebrity couples reality format, showcasing television stars alongside their real-life partners. The new season features Sonali Bendre and Munawar Faruqui leading the proceedings as program hosts. Meanwhile, the fifth season of the prominent hip-hop platform Hustle is also underway, featuring rapper Badshah once again in the seat of Rap Supreme alongside seasoned rap artists EPR, MC Square, Paradox, and Agsy steering the competitive lineup.
