Festive celebrations at the Nirala Aspire society in Greater Noida West turned chaotic when outsiders allegedly harassed women and threatened local residents during a Garba event. According to the complaint, as the confrontation escalated, individuals in a Thar vehicle accelerated dangerously and broke through the society barrier to escape. Police have arrested three people in connection with the case.
The incident occurred on the night of October 18 during a Garba program at the Nirala Aspire society in Greater Noida West. Allegations indicate that around 10 people arrived in four vehicles and an initial argument over parking escalated into alleged misbehavior, verbal abuse, and threats directed at women. When the situation deteriorated, security personnel and residents asked them to leave. During this time, a Thar driver was accused of attempting to run people over with the vehicle. The Bisrakh police station has registered a case and initiated an investigation.
The Dispute Began Over Parking
According to the complaint filed with the police, a Garba program involving residents and their families was underway at the time. Around 10 people arrived in four vehicles during the event. Complainant Vishwas Kumar Singh alleged that these individuals called several other vehicles into the complex and parked them forcibly in a no-parking zone.
It is alleged that some of these individuals then entered the Garba venue and began misbehaving with the women present. When residents objected and announcements were made to remove the vehicles, the altercation intensified. The complaint states that the accused used abusive language and threatened residents with death. The complainant also alleged that many of them were under the influence of alcohol.
Allegations of Attempting to Run Down Guards and Residents
According to the complaint, when asked to vacate the society, the individuals sat in their vehicles to leave. During this time, a Thar was allegedly driven at high speed. The complainant stated that security guards and some residents attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver allegedly tried to run them over.
This incident reportedly took place at around 11:05 PM. The Thar occupants initially headed toward the main gate, where the on-duty guard attempted to stop them. They then drove toward gate number-2. When the gate was found closed, an individual who got out of the Thar attempted to open it. When the guard tried to stop him, the accused allegedly broke the boom barrier and fled with the vehicle.
Police Arrest Three Individuals
The complaint also mentioned the presence of three other vehicles inside the society premises. The complainant identified one person as a resident of the society who had introduced himself as Rudra Pratap Singh. He demanded action, citing a threat to the safety of residents from the accused. According to the complaint, the police were informed via a call to the 112 helpline during the incident itself. The complainant also stated that video evidence related to the incident is available.
