Marking the auspicious occasion of Vijayadashami, the Gorakhnath Temple hosted a grand Vijay Shobhayatra where Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi delivered an extensive address on national unity, Sanatan traditions, social harmony, and the ideals of Lord Rama. He asserted that the country's existence relies on Dharma, and no individual, society, or caste can remain secure unless India and its Sanatan heritage stay protected.
Highlighting global conflicts, the Chief Minister pointed out that various groups and ideologies are currently engaged in bitter internal struggles across the world, citing ongoing sectarian divisions and ideological clashes. In contrast, he stated that India stands uniquely as a nation under the shelter of Sanatan values that protects every caste, sect, and faith, guiding them toward prosperity without discrimination. This approach, he noted, stems from the ancient Indian philosophy of universal well-being.
Addressing those who attempt to weaken the nation, the speaker questioned how certain elements could accept monumental cultural milestones such as the grand Deepotsav and the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. He remarked that such critics resort to misinformation and propaganda, noting the irony of individuals who previously opposed devotees now invoking the name of Lord Rama. He urged citizens to cultivate the discernment of Bajrang Bali to distinguish between right and wrong.
Discussing the cultural significance of Vijayadashami, the leader observed that Ramlila performances across the country showcase equality and social cohesion. He compared forces that seek to divide society along caste, regional, or linguistic lines to the mythological figure of Ravana, who fractured unity. Whenever the nation weakens, he cautioned, sacred spiritual centers and the dignity of women face disrespect.
Reflecting on ancient heritage, the Chief Minister concluded that the ideals, words, and actions of Lord Rama continue to guide humanity thousands of years after his incarnation in Ayodhya. While many ancient civilizations and cultures around the world have vanished over time, the legacy of Lord Rama remains a timeless source of inspiration for righteousness, justice, and harmony.
