Senior Samajwadi Party leader and party national general secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav has announced that his party will contest the upcoming 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections in coalition with the Congress. Speaking to reporters, he expressed firm confidence that the alliance will secure a full majority in the state, with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav heading the next state government as Chief Minister.
Joint Poll Strategy and Leadership for 2027 Elections
Elaborating on the political roadmap for Uttar Pradesh, Shivpal Singh Yadav emphasized that the partnership between the Samajwadi Party and Congress remains solid heading into the 2027 state elections. He declared that under the guidance and leadership of Akhilesh Yadav, the coalition will achieve a decisive electoral victory. While discussing election planning, Shivpal noted that the Samajwadi Party has deliberately kept its core electoral tactics confidential for now. He stated that the detailed strategy will be unveiled to the public at the appropriate juncture.
Accusations of Targeting Opposition Leaders
Directing sharp criticism at the Bharatiya Janata Party, the senior leader accused the ruling administration of attempting to systematically undermine and dismantle opposition forces. Shivpal Singh Yadav specifically pointed to the legal proceedings initiated against senior Congress figure Rahul Gandhi in Uttarakhand as evidence of this political maneuver. According to him, filing cases against opposition political figures demonstrates a concerted drive by the ruling party to stifle political dissent across state lines.
AI Video Controversy and Infrastructure Criticisms
Addressing the recent controversy involving artificial intelligence generated media targeting Samajwadi Party representatives, Shivpal Singh Yadav asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party pioneered the deployment of AI-altered videos in political discourse. He clarified that any counteractions or media responses from the Samajwadi Party were simply a direct reaction to the initial trend set by the governing party. Furthermore, he challenged the government's infrastructure track record, pointing to deteriorating road quality and widespread potholes on major expressways as concrete evidence that refutes the official claims regarding developmental progress and financial integrity.
Response to Om Prakash Rajbhar and Social Visits
Shivpal Singh Yadav also responded to recent verbal attacks launched against Akhilesh Yadav by Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party chief and Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Minister Om Prakash Rajbhar. Reminding Rajbhar of his past political stance, Shivpal noted that all critical remarks Rajbhar previously made against the Bharatiya Janata Party during his prior alliance with the Samajwadi Party remain documented on record. Apart from political commentary, the Samajwadi Party leader paid a visit to former party lawmaker Rameshwar Singh Yadav, who is currently undergoing treatment for a severe lung condition. Additionally, Shivpal offered his heartfelt condolences to party leader Sharafat Hussain following the passing of his father, Haji Abdul Aziz.
