A chilling crime has emerged from Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj district. In Kukurkatwa village, which falls under the Meja police station area of the Yamunanagar zone, three members of the same family were brutally killed. The triple murder has shaken the entire locality and left villagers gripped by fear.
Who Were the Victims
The attackers struck all three victims on the head and took their lives. The deceased have been identified as Shyamlal alias Kallu, his wife Manju Devi, and Kallu's sister-in-law. All three belonged to the same family. For now, the identity of the attackers remains unknown.
Chaos in the Morning
On Tuesday morning, as soon as word of the crime spread among the villagers, panic took hold across the area. Within moments a large crowd gathered at the scene. The instant the news reached them, Meja police along with senior officers hurried to the spot.
Teams Begin the Probe
A field unit, a dog squad and a forensic team were called in and a detailed examination of the scene is underway. Police have begun questioning family members and people from the surrounding village. The real reason behind the killings is not yet clear. Investigators are pursuing every angle, including the possibility of a land-related feud.
Senior Officers at the Scene
Given the gravity of the incident, Additional Police Commissioner Land Order Dr Ajay Pal Sharma, DCP Ganganagar zone Vivek Chandra Yadav and ACP Meja were also present at the spot. Police have taken custody of the three bodies and started the process of sending them for post-mortem. Top officials have claimed that the triple murder case will be cracked soon.
