Administrative preparations have gathered pace to bring the proposed Amroha to Haridwar Ganga Expressway route into reality, significantly easing travel between the two destinations. Land acquisition procedures are currently reaching their conclusive phase as revenue department personnel visit rural areas to inspect land records and confirm agricultural property titles. District authorities anticipate that formal deed registrations from local farmers will commence in November following the completion of document authentication.
Expressway Alignment and Section Through Amroha
The proposed highway project spans an overall length of 116.85 kilometres. Out of this total layout, approximately 44 kilometres will run directly through the territory of Amroha district. The route is planned to branch out from the Mangraula T-point on the Prayagraj-Meerut Ganga Expressway corridor and stretch northward to reach Haridwar. This strategic road link is intended to offer seamless connectivity for commuters, significantly reducing both travel time and physical distance between the two commercial and cultural hubs.
Identification of 52 Villages Across Two Tehsils
To acquire the right of way for the project, the local administration has earmarked land across 52 villages situated within Hasanpur and Dhanaura tehsils. Specifically, the alignment encompasses 17 villages from Hasanpur tehsil and 35 villages from Dhanaura tehsil. Ground surveys across these areas have concluded, and applicable circle rates have been formally determined. Land registry officials are presently matching individual parcel numbers (gata numbers) to ensure transparency and eliminate errors during compensation settlement. Around 150 landowners have already submitted their formal consent for the acquisition.
Verification Stages and November Registration Plan
Special Land Acquisition Officer Karmendra Singh highlighted that revenue authorities are rigorously verifying registry records against actual cadastral mapping. Once this validation work wraps up, the detailed proposal will be submitted to the Divisional Commissioner for formal clearance. Upon receiving the commissioner's approval, the execution of sale deeds with landowning farmers will formally commence. The district machinery is working toward launching these property registrations within November.
Economic Opportunities, Commerce, and Regional Pilgrimage
Beyond cutting highway commute times, the high-speed roadway is projected to provide a notable impetus to commercial activities in Amroha. Improved road infrastructure will facilitate faster transit for regional freight and make the district more appealing for industrial projects and fresh private investment. At the same time, thousands of pilgrims heading to Haridwar will experience a smoother journey. District Magistrate Dr. Nitin Gour noted that project-related activities are being expedited to begin land deed registrations swiftly, ensuring substantial long-term infrastructural gains for the district.
