The dates for the massive paddy procurement campaign in Chhattisgarh have been officially finalized. The procurement drive across the state will officially commence on November 15. The state administration has put comprehensive preparations in place to safeguard the interests of local farmers. This season, paddy will be procured from more than 2.75 million farmers across the state. The government will buy the grain from farmers at the predetermined rate of Rs 3100 per quintal.
Procurement Capped at 21 Quintals Per Acre
The state government has established a clear and transparent limit for the procurement process. Farmers will be allowed to sell a maximum of 21 quintals of paddy per acre. This policy is expected to bring substantial financial gains to farmers throughout the region. During a cabinet meeting held in Raipur on October 27, crucial decisions regarding the procurement were finalized. It was decided during the meeting that the procurement would kick off on November 15 and that the number of centers would be increased this year.

Tuhhar Token App Enables At-Home Token Generation
To relieve farmers from standing in long queues at cooperative societies, an online system has been introduced. The ‘Tuhhar Token’ mobile app has been launched for the ease of farmers. The state-level ‘Integrated Command and Control Center’ will be expanded to oversee operations. A total of 273 check posts have been established to curb unauthorized transportation of paddy. Additionally, 131 border procurement centers have been identified, and special investigation teams have been deployed to monitor purchase systems and state boundaries strictly.
