Sensi-Contugi, aged 44, had been appointed to head Ecuador's Strategic Intelligence Center in 2024. He was traveling alongside his wife, Stephany Hollihan. A spokesperson for the US State Department subsequently verified that five American citizens were also among the victims onboard the ill-fated flight.
