Disaster Scale and Rescue Operations in Nepal
Severe flooding across multiple regions in Nepal has dismantled transport networks, isolating hundreds of residents and travelers. The death toll in flood-affected parts of Nepal has reached 362, while more than 800 people remain missing. To accelerate relief efforts, the Nepal Army has deployed 14 helicopters along with specialized disaster response teams.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, personnel from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police have been stationed in Rasuwa and surrounding districts to intensify rescue operations and supply distribution in the hardest-hit areas.
