Hero MotoCorp has officially launched a major upgrade to its highly popular 125cc commuter motorcycle lineup with the introduction of the new Glamour X. This updated variant raises the bar in terms of passenger safety by incorporating a dual-braking safety system, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious riders seeking premium safety elements. With a price tag of Rs 1.01 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), this new top-spec variant offers substantial technological enhancements over the existing range.
First-in-Segment Dual-Braking Safety Integration
The primary highlight of the new Hero Glamour X is the unique combination of a single-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) paired with an Integrated Braking System (IBS). According to the vehicle manufacturer, this is the first motorcycle in the highly competitive 125cc category to carry both of these protective braking systems simultaneously. To handle sudden traffic stops, the motorcycle also comes equipped with a Panic Brake Alert and Hazard Lamps. This emergency system warns vehicles trailing behind by flashing rapidly when the rider applies sudden force to the brakes, preventing rear-end collisions.
Advanced Tech Features and Ride Modes
On the technology front, the motorcycle features a modern ride-by-wire throttle setup, which enables three distinct riding modes, namely Eco, Road, and Power. For effortless highway cruising, Hero has also integrated a convenient Cruise Control feature. Riders can monitor all essential metrics via a 10.7 cm adaptive multi-color digital instrument cluster. This screen displays over 60 integrated functions, including real-time fuel efficiency, distance-to-empty metrics, and gear shift advice. Furthermore, Bluetooth connectivity brings smartphone integration directly to the dashboard, providing turn-by-turn navigation alerts alongside real-time call and SMS notifications. Under-seat dual mobile storage and a dedicated USB Type-C charging port add daily utility.

Providing power to this upgraded commuter is a dependable 124.7 cc single-cylinder air-cooled Sprint-EBT engine. The motor produces a healthy 11.4 BHP of maximum power at 8250 RPM and 10.5 NM of peak torque at 6500 RPM. This engine is mated to a smooth 5-speed gearbox that ensures seamless power delivery with highly controlled vibrations. The commuter bike boasts an impressive fuel economy rating of 65 km/l, allowing riders to minimize daily commuting costs. Long rides are well supported by a spacious 10-liter fuel tank. Visually, the model keeps its athletic design, highlighted by a sporty fuel tank, full LED illumination, an H-signature headlamp, and refreshed graphics. It is available in distinct colors including Gun Metal Grey, Matte Axis Grey, Black Pearl Red, and Black Teal Blue, riding on 18-inch alloy wheels with an accessible seat height of 790 mm.
