Customers across the country can now reserve these vehicles through the company’s authorized dealership network. This move follows their showcase at the recent Kia Inspiration Day event, reflecting the brand’s commitment to offering alternative fuel options alongside standard internal combustion engines.
Carens CNG and Carens Clavis CNG Engine Options and Variants
The new Kia Carens CNG is equipped with a 1.5-litre Smartstream petrol engine paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. It features a factory-fitted CNG kit along with a 60-litre fuel cylinder. To handle the extra weight of the dual-fuel setup, Kia has recalibrated the engine performance and modified the suspension architecture. Individual retail buyers can opt for the Premium (O) G1.5 6MT variant, while a dedicated M-Drive trim has been tailored specifically for commercial operators and B2B fleet logistics.
Positioned higher up in the range, the Carens Clavis CNG shares the same 1.5-litre engine and six-speed manual transmission alongside the 60-litre CNG cylinder. Designed as a feature-rich family carrier, this model includes dual digital displays, Level-2 ADAS driver assistance features, six protective airbags, and connected LED exterior lighting. Premium variants of the Clavis CNG also gain a panoramic sunroof, blending efficiency with modern comfort.
Carnival Limousine Hybrid Powertrain and Interior Features
Marking a significant shift for Kia’s top-tier MPV, the Carnival Limousine Hybrid replaces the traditional diesel-only lineup with an advanced electrified setup. It utilizes a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol hybrid engine connected to a six-speed automatic transmission. This hybrid configuration is engineered to deliver enhanced overall fuel efficiency while providing seamless power delivery across varied driving conditions.
As the company's flagship passenger vehicle, the Carnival Limousine Hybrid retains high-end amenities such as lounge-style luxury seating, powered rear sliding doors, and a refined cabin design.
