With the festive season fast approaching, the administration has begun proactive preparations to handle the massive surge of travelers heading home from major metropolitan areas to celebrate with their families. Railway networks traditionally experience their peak operational stress during this period as millions of passengers crowd stations to secure transportation. To alleviate this severe congestion and streamline travel, Northern Railway has announced the rollout of a dedicated festival special train connecting the national capital region with remote districts in Bihar.
Operational Schedule and Frequency
According to administrative details released by Northern Railway, the new special service will operate extensively to accommodate holiday crowds. Train number 04014, the Anand Vihar to Laukaha Bazar Festival Special, is scheduled to run daily from September 16 through November 29. In the reverse direction, train number 04013, the Laukaha Bazar to Anand Vihar Festival Special, will operate daily from September 17 through November 30. Under this comprehensive schedule, the special train will complete 75 trips in each direction.

Throughout its extended journey, the special service will make scheduled stops at numerous key stations across multiple states. The comprehensive list of halts includes Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Sitapur Junction, Gonda Junction, Gorakhpur Junction, Captanganj Junction, Siswa Bazar, Bagaha, Harinagar, Narkatiaganj Junction, Sikta, Raxaul Junction, Bairgania, Sitamarhi, Shisho, Sakri Junction, Jhanjharpur Junction, and Vachaspatinagar. To cater to diverse passenger preferences and budgets, the rake composition includes air-conditioned coaches, sleeper compartments, and general unreserved seating cars.
Timings and Departure Details
Examining the exact timetable, train number 04014 departs from Anand Vihar Terminal every afternoon at 15:40 and arrives at Laukaha Bazar at 20:15 the following night. On the return leg, train number 04013 departs from Laukaha Bazar every night at 21:30 and reaches Anand Vihar early in the morning at 03:15 on the second day. This carefully structured timetable ensures convenient travel times for commuters traversing between northern and eastern regions during peak holiday months.
