Travelers flying out of the Jewar-based नोएडा एयरपोर्ट now have a direct route to the tourist destination of Udaipur in Rajasthan. Airline carrier Indigo commenced operations on this route on Sunday. The addition benefits vacationers as well as business travelers and individuals commuting for professional commitments. This makes Udaipur the third new city to integrate into the airport network during the month of October, following earlier service rollouts for Kolkata and Chandigarh.
Afternoon departure marks the maiden flight to Udaipur
Flight schedule data on the Noida International Airport website shows that the Indigo service heading toward Udaipur departed from the facility at around 1:30 PM on Sunday. Meanwhile, the return flight originating from Udaipur touched down at the Noida airport at approximately 8 PM in the evening. This direct connection reduces the necessity for passengers residing in Noida, Greater Noida, and surrounding neighborhoods to rely on alternative distant airports, providing them with a convenient local transit option.
Network expansion adds three cities through October
Domestic flight connectivity at the Noida International Airport continues to experience rapid scaling. The expansion kicked off on October 1 when Indigo introduced flight services to Kolkata, which was followed by the resumption of flights to Chandigarh. Although the Chandigarh route originally launched in July, operations had previously faced a temporary suspension before being reinstated. The inclusion of Udaipur further broadens the facility operational reach, enabling passengers to structure their travel itineraries more flexibly.
Operations scale up to cover 16 destinations
Airport figures indicate that commercial flight operations are currently active across a total of 16 cities. The operational map covers Dehradun, Dharamshala, Jammu, Amritsar, Pantnagar, Udaipur, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Bhopal with daily connections. Additionally, services to Bareilly, Kishangarh, and Chandigarh operate on an alternate-day schedule based on fixed timetables. The airport currently witnesses around 32 to 34 daily aircraft movements encompassing both landings and takeoffs. This represents an increase from the pre-October metrics which stood at 14 cities and roughly 28 to 30 daily flights.
International flights anticipated around the new year
Plans are underway for the potential rollout of international flight operations from the Noida International Airport around the upcoming new year. Current indications suggest that construction on the international terminal is virtually complete. Authorities have scheduled comprehensive testing of essential equipment for the month of November, though official commencement remains contingent upon receiving all necessary regulatory approvals and procedural preparations.
