A troubling domestic dispute has surfaced in the Harsiddhi police station area of Motihari district in Bihar, where a mother of two children allegedly left her home in the company of a relative. Following the incident, the aggrieved husband approached the local police station to lodge a formal written complaint against a local youth and his family members. The husband has alleged that his wife took away household jewelry along with approximately 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees in cash when leaving the house. Based on the complaint, the police have registered an official report and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.
A Decade of Marriage and Household Circumstances
According to the application submitted to the police, the couple was married approximately 10 years ago in a village falling under the jurisdiction of the Turkaulia police station. Over the past decade, the couple had two children together. To earn a livelihood and support his family financially, the husband moved to Tamil Nadu, where he works as a manual laborer. Meanwhile, his wife remained at their village home looking after their two children. Because of his employment in another state, the husband stayed away from home for extended periods, making only periodic visits to the village.
Frequent Visits by a Relative and Village Panchayat Intervention
As detailed in the police complaint, during the husband's prolonged absences, a young man identified as Raushan Kumar, a resident of Jail Murarpur village, began visiting the household frequently. Raushan Kumar is reportedly a cousin or distant brother of the husband. The husband alleged that taking advantage of his absence, closeness developed between his wife and Raushan over time. When family members and local villagers became aware of the growing familiarity, attempts were made to resolve the situation internally. A formal village panchayat was convened with members of both sides to settle the issue and discourage further contact. However, despite the warnings and counsel provided at the panchayat, the communication between the two allegedly persisted.
Departure Leaving Children Behind with Cash and Valuables
Recently, the woman departed from the village home, leaving both of her young children behind. The husband stated that while leaving, she allegedly carried off personal jewelry and a cash amount of around 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees stored in the house. After discovering her sudden disappearance, the husband initially inquired with the family members of Raushan Kumar to locate her. Failing to receive any helpful response or cooperation, he proceeded to the Harsiddhi police station, submitting a formal application seeking the recovery of his wife and strict legal action against the accused youth and his family.
