Developed by the Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUIDCO) under the direct supervision of the Urban Development and Housing Department, this ambitious project aims to blend spirituality with modern civic amenities. The extensive redevelopment covers three prominent locations in Patna City: Bhadra Ghat, Mahavir Ghat, and Nauzar Ghat. Built at an estimated cost of Rs 46.26 crore, the revamped riverfront has now been officially dedicated to the public following a grand inauguration ceremony led by CM Samrat Choudhary. This transformative initiative is set to redefine the city's landscape, offering a pristine environment for both regular walkers and millions of visiting pilgrims.
Enhanced Safety for Millions of Devotees

Historically, managing such enormous crowds on unpaved or narrow riverbanks posed significant logistical challenges. With the comprehensive concretization and widening of these ghats, the administration has successfully addressed these concerns. Devotees can now perform their rituals and offer prayers in a highly secure, accessible, and organized environment, drastically reducing the risk of accidents during major festivals.
A 565-Meter Promenade with World-Class Amenities
The crown jewel of this riverfront redevelopment is a sprawling, 565-meter-long promenade designed to offer a tranquil escape from the bustling city life.
