The box office run of Ajay Devgn's suspense thriller Drishyam 3: The Conclusion concluded its opening week on exceptionally solid ground. Driven by continuous audience footfalls since day one, the dramatic feature has rewritten multiple theatrical milestones over its first seven days. Backed by its suspenseful writing and strong lead performances, the movie is now on the verge of entering the Rs 250 crore net club in India, while its worldwide gross tally has surged past Rs 383 crore.
Opening Week Tally Across Domestic and Global Circuits
Seven full days have passed since the movie arrived on the big screen. Following an explosive debut, the thriller crossed the Rs 200 crore net threshold in India within just five days of theatrical play. Although routine weekday drops began on Monday, the total accumulated business through the first seven days remains massive. With its Thursday earnings, the film has already surpassed the lifetime domestic net total of Ajay Devgn's previous franchise installment, Drishyam 2. Its sights are now set on challenging his career-best performer, the historical blockbuster Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
Seventh Day Numbers and Countrywide Show Count
According to box office tracking figures, Drishyam 3: The Conclusion added Rs 13 crore net to its domestic tally on day seven. Across India, the title played across 15,758 screenings on Thursday. With this addition, the movie's total domestic net revenue stands at Rs 245.50 crore, which translates into a gross domestic collection of Rs 294.60 crore.
Performance Across International Territories
Audience enthusiasm remained steady across international circuits as well. Overseas box office collections contributed a gross sum of Rs 4 crore on day seven, lifting total foreign gross receipts to Rs 89 crore. Combining India's gross earnings of Rs 294.60 crore with the overseas tally of Rs 89 crore brings the cumulative global gross collection to Rs 383.60 crore.
Weekday Contraction and Day-on-Day Percentage Drop
As is customary after a high-voltage weekend, day-to-day revenue experienced steady moderation through the working week. The film had accumulated Rs 15.50 crore net in India on Wednesday, which slipped to Rs 13 crore on Thursday. This represented a single-day drop of roughly 16.1 percent between day six and day seven. Nevertheless, the vast scale of its first-week aggregate ensures that the project firmly ranks among the biggest box office successes of recent times.
Pre-Sales Momentum and Opening Weekend Run
Representing the biggest opening day of Ajay Devgn's acting career, the cinematic drama had generated substantial excitement well ahead of its theatrical debut. Advance ticket sales commenced on September 27, generating roughly Rs 27 crore prior to release. When the film officially opened in cinemas on October 2, it secured a remarkable opening day domestic net haul of Rs 62 crore.
On Saturday, the second day of its run, domestic collections moderated slightly to Rs 53.50 crore, followed by another sharp Sunday surge that brought in Rs 61 crore. Consequently, the initial three-day weekend alone delivered an extraordinary net total of Rs 176.50 crore in India.
Franchise Benchmark Eclipsed as Tanhaji Target Looms
In just seven days of release, Drishyam 3 comfortably surpassed the lifetime domestic net total of its predecessor Drishyam 2, which ended its theatrical run at Rs 239.67 crore. The next major benchmark within reach is the lifetime domestic net record of Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, which gathered Rs 279.59 crore net during its run and currently stands as Ajay Devgn's top-earning release of all time.
