Chandigarh Court Issues Notice to Salman Khan and Being Human Foundation in Rs 3 Crore Fraud Complaint

A JMIC court in Chandigarh has issued notices to actor Salman Khan, Alvira Khan Agnihotri, Being Human Foundation, and others on a complaint filed by businessman Arun Gupta, directing them to respond by October 5.

A Judicial Magistrate First Class court in Chandigarh has issued official notices to actor Salman Khan and several co-accused following a complaint submitted by local businessman Arun Gupta. The judicial notice has been served to Style Quotient Jewellery Private Limited, Prasad Bindu Madhav, Santosh Srivastava, Being Human Foundation, Salman Khan, and Alvira Khan Agnihotri. All the named entities and individuals have been directed to present their formal response before the court by October 5. In the event that the court finds their explanation unsatisfactory, formal summons may subsequently be issued against them.

Background of the Rs 3 Crore Business Deal

According to the complainant Arun Gupta, a resident of Manimajra in Chandigarh, his interaction with Salman Khan took place a few years ago on the sets of the reality show Big Boss in Mumbai. During their meeting, discussions took place regarding opening a new commercial outlet in Chandigarh, with an assurance that the actor would personally attend the store opening. Relying on this commitment, the businessman invested an amount of Rs 3 crore in 2018 to establish the showroom in Manimajra. However, when the inauguration took place, Salman Khan did not visit Chandigarh and instead sent his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri, who is married to his sister Alvira.
