During the shoot of the blockbuster song Kamli from Aamir Khan's film Dhoom 3, Katrina Kaif pushed professionalism to an extreme level. The song required extremely difficult and dangerous aerial acrobatic stunts, hanging and moving through the air, but Katrina flatly refused to use a body double and chose to perform every move herself.
Stunts on an iron ring, with no safety belt
For the shoot, Katrina had to repeatedly move through the air while suspended on a heavy iron ring, all without a safety belt. The repeated, punishing moves left her hands, feet and knees badly scraped, and left deep blue bruises across her body.
She kept shooting through the pain, without a single break
Despite the unbearable pain and visible injuries, Katrina did not take a break during the shoot. She covered the bruises and blood marks on her body with heavy makeup and continued the shoot without stopping.
Director and crew on set were left stunned
Watching her dedication, the director and crew members present on set were left stunned. Her decision to perform such dangerous stunts herself, without complaint, is part of what still makes the Kamli song from Dhoom 3 so memorable.
