A major shift has taken place at the peak of India’s brand endorsement landscape. According to the Celebrity Brand Valuation Report 2025 released by global advisory firm Kroll, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has emerged as the most valuable celebrity brand in the country. SRK achieved a brand valuation of $177.9 million (approximately 1,691 crore INR), overtaking star cricketer Virat Kohli, who previously held the top position in the annual rankings. Shah Rukh Khan's extensive endorsement portfolio and powerful social media influence played a decisive role in propelling him to the apex position.
Overall Valuation Trends in the Indian Celebrity Market
The annual report by Kroll provides an in-depth analysis of the country's top 25 celebrities and their commercial standing. In 2025, the combined brand value of these top 25 figures reached $2 billion. Despite the strong individual numbers of top performers, the total valuation saw a slight decline of 3.7 percent compared to the previous year. Kroll calculates these figures by systematically evaluating each personality's commercial partnerships, active advertising deals, and overall reach across digital and mainstream platforms.
The Top Three Breakdown and Rank Movements
The latest study highlights key position changes among India's highest-earning brand ambassadors. While Shah Rukh Khan secured the number one rank with $177.9 million (approx. 1,691 crore INR), actor Ranveer Singh maintained his second position with a brand value of $162.9 million (approx. 1,548 crore INR). Meanwhile, cricketer Virat Kohli, who occupied the top spot last year, slid down to the third rank with his brand valuation currently estimated at $158.4 million.
Standing of Other Major Film Personalities
Bollywood actors continue to dominate a significant portion of the top ten list. Actress Alia Bhatt holds the sixth position with a brand value of $93.9 million, closely followed by Deepika Padukone at seventh place with $89.2 million. Hrithik Roshan occupies the eighth spot with a valuation of $88.9 million, while legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan sits at ninth place with $80.8 million. Actors Akshay Kumar and Ranbir Kapoor share the tenth position jointly, both holding an identical brand value of $80.0 million.
Growing Commercial Appeal of Younger Celebrities
The Kroll report also underlines a clear trend toward advertisers favoring younger stars for long-term brand engagements. Rashmika Mandanna made a significant leap to rank 12th in the standings. Ananya Panday sits at 19th position, followed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu at 21st place. Janhvi Kapoor made her debut appearance on the list at 23rd place, while Shraddha Kapoor advanced to the 24th spot.
