Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra posted a throwback video on Instagram on Tuesday that has swiftly gone viral across social media. The clip shows her alongside her husband and Aam Aadmi Party leader Raghav Chadha at the celebrated Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, where the couple is seen offering prayers and joining in the aarti.
A Sacred Moment Shared with Devotion
In the video, Parineeti wears a pink saree and has her pallu draped over her head as a gesture of reverence during the puja. Raghav Chadha stands alongside her dressed in traditional attire. Together they fold their hands before Lord Shiva and participate fully in the ritual aarti. The clip clearly moved many viewers, with fans pouring appreciation into the comments section.
The Story Behind the Bhajan
The caption Parineeti attached to the video offered an intimate window into her spiritual life. In her own words: "I had decided to record the Shiv Stuti 'Namami Shamisham' on a peaceful morning during my pregnancy. I never thought it would receive so much love. It is a great honour for me that it has become a part of your morning playlist, just as it has been a part of our family's spiritual routine for years."
Shiv Stuti Released on Her YouTube Channel
The bhajan 'Namami Shamisham' referred to in her caption was recently released on Parineeti's YouTube channel. She has described this Shiv Stuti as an extremely emotional chapter of her life. Listening to it, she has said, revives the beautiful memories of her pregnancy, making the track deeply personal far beyond its devotional meaning.
The Love Story That Reads Like a Film Script
The story of how Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha came together is as cinematic as any script. Their paths first crossed at an award function in London, where both were being recognised in their respective fields. What started as a formal, polite introduction took a meaningful turn when Raghav invited Parineeti for a breakfast meeting, and from that conversation a genuine and special bond began to take shape.
Their meetings became increasingly frequent from that point on. When Parineeti was in Punjab shooting for the film 'Chamkeela', Raghav travelled there to be with her. In time, the couple made their relationship public and announced their engagement in May 2023. On 24 September 2023, they wed in a grand, royal-style ceremony held in Udaipur, Rajasthan, attended by prominent figures from both the Bollywood film industry and the world of politics.
