In an unconventional tribute to ancestral remembrance, a son in Punjab's Gurdaspur district transformed a regular movie theater into a spiritual gathering to mark the tenth death anniversary of his late father. While conventional memorials typically remain confined to private home prayers or customary charity, social worker Narendra Vij Niti Sara chose a creative public pathway to honor the legacy of former village sarpanch Surinder Vij. He booked an entire cinema hall in the Kalanaur area, inviting more than 200 devotees to watch the faith inspired feature film titled 'Hanuman Ansh' together.
Cinema Auditorium Transformed Into a Devotional Space
The cinema hall assumed an atmosphere remarkably similar to a temple sanctuary rather than an ordinary movie screening. As the religious storyline unfolded on the silver screen, the audience engaged in continuous prayer and collective singing. The entire auditorium reverberated with the rhythmic chanting of 'Sita-Ram, Sita-Ram', creating an ambiance steeped in reverence.
