A major development has emerged from the music industry on the auspicious occasion of Diwali as veteran playback singer Sonu Nigam and his wife Madhurima Nigam shared joint social media posts revealing their 19-year-old son Nivaan Nigam is officially entering the professional music arena. Nivaan has composed music for his maiden short film project titled Slide, marking a significant milestone that has filled the family with immense joy. Sonu detailed the remarkable transformation his son has undergone over the years, charting a course from his early childhood days right up to the meticulous preparation for his first independent musical venture.
From Childhood Performances to a Dedicated Musical Journey
Reflecting on earlier years, Sonu recalled how a four-year-old Nivaan once performed the viral track Kolavari Di inside a recording studio and later sang Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin on stage at age four and a half. There was a time when the young boy felt too shy to sing even in front of his father and would grow exhausted after just three minutes of light jogging. However, years of rigorous discipline completely turned things around, transforming him into a confident young artist ready to carve his own distinct path distinct from his grandfather and father.
Rigorous Training and Long Studio Hours
The proud father elaborated on the intense training regimen Nivaan has undertaken to polish his natural abilities, noting that he now practices under a vocal coach for up to 16 hours a day. Alongside intensive vocal riyaz, his daily schedule incorporates rigorous dance rehearsals and strict fitness routines to build stamina and stage presence. This unwavering dedication allows him to step into professional recording environments with major figures like renowned record producer Poo Bear, where he successfully laid down tracks in a single take.
Family Gratitude and Blessing for the Future
Expressing deep gratitude, the family invited fans to shower the young newcomer with constant blessings as he embarks on this professional chapter with dignity, hard work, passion, and humility. While playfully mentioning that he typically avoids using words like proud, Sonu made it clear that watching his son present his debut song Slide brings immense fulfillment to everyone around him. This announcement follows another widely discussed moment involving Sonu Nigam's recent surgery, where a viral video captured him singing Mohammed Rafi's classic track Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki right inside the operating theatre while medical procedures were underway, demonstrating his lifelong devotion to art.
Grand Sets and Industry Updates
Meanwhile, other major entertainment updates continue to capture public attention, including a recent reveal where Ranbir Kapoor's stunt double shared a grand glimpse of the sets of Ramayana, offering fans a peek into an emotional vanvas sequence and expressing heartfelt gratitude for the journey.
