Kannada superstar Yash starrer action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups has entered its second week at the box office. After registering a sensational opening week where it easily shattered the Rs 200 crore net threshold in the domestic market, the film's daily collection trajectory has begun to experience a natural weekday moderation. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and featuring Kiara Advani alongside Yash, the high-octane project owes much of its commercial triumph to Yash's massive star power and the tremendous advance excitement built ahead of its release. Beyond its theatrical numbers, the film continues to generate widespread buzz for its distinct visual aesthetic and narrative approach. Recently, filmmaker Aditya Dhar also showered praise on Toxic, commending its cinematic vision and director Geetu Mohandas' bold storytelling.
First Week Breakdown: Day-by-Day Domestic Trend
Toxic kicked off its theatrical run with an explosive Day 1 net collection of Rs 101.10 crore in India, significantly outpacing the opening day tally of Dhurandhar Part 1, which had collected Rs 28.60 crore. Maintaining strong momentum through the extended opening weekend, the film added Rs 37.65 crore on its second day and Rs 27.20 crore on its third day. On the fourth day, ticket sales brought in Rs 25.15 crore, followed by Rs 23.00 crore on the fifth day, propelling the five-day cumulative domestic net collection to Rs 214.10 crore. As the weekday trend set in, the sixth day witnessed a sharp drop to Rs 7.65 crore, before registering a slight uptick on the seventh day to collect Rs 7.85 crore.
International Box Office Performance and Global Figures
Overseas markets have also contributed substantially to the global box office tally of Toxic. On its opening day, the action entertainer secured Rs 20 crore in gross earnings from international territories. Overseas collections stood at Rs 8 crore on the second day and Rs 3.50 crore on the third day. By the end of its fifth day, the international gross total had accumulated to Rs 29.25 crore. The film added another Rs 2 crore overseas on the sixth day and Rs 1.50 crore on the seventh day, taking its seven-day cumulative international gross to Rs 40.75 crore. Combining both domestic and international markets, the worldwide cumulative gross collection stood at approximately Rs 315 crore by the end of its seventh day in theatres.
Eighth Day Box Office Figures and Language-Wise Breakdown
According to tracking data from Sacnilk, Toxic registered a 35% decline on its eighth day, pulling in an overall collection of Rs 5.10 crore. Across 11,330 shows screened nationwide, the movie recorded a net domestic collection of Rs 3.78 crore. With these additions, the total domestic net collection for the Yash and Kiara Advani starrer stands at Rs 233.38 crore, while the gross domestic total has climbed to Rs 278.69 crore. In terms of language breakdown on Day 8, the Hindi dubbed version led the pack by contributing Rs 3.15 crore. Among other regional versions, the Telugu dub brought in Rs 40 lakh, Tamil added Rs 20 lakh, and Malayalam collected Rs 3 lakh, while Kannada figures were pending update at the time of publication. Factoring in the stable overseas gross of Rs 40.75 crore, the overall worldwide gross collection for Toxic has now reached Rs 319.44 crore.
