When an enormous tentpole release takes over theatres, long-running titles usually lose both screen share and footfalls. Defying that usual trend, Hanuman Ansh maintained resilient business on its 57th day at the box office. Following the October 2 arrival of Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, market projections suggested the older release would swiftly lose its theatrical run. Yet, despite receiving a drastically reduced show count, the spiritual biographical drama drew dedicated crowds and pulled in multi-crore ticket sales on Friday.
Friday Performance and Minimal Drop
Approaching nearly eight full weeks in cinemas, the film secured a domestic net collection of 2.35 crore rupees on day 57. That reflects only a minor 19.0 percent drop compared to day 56, when it gathered 2.90 crore rupees. Facing a colossal new competitor while losing prominent show allocations, retaining such momentum highlights the enduring loyalty of its audience base.
Domestic Footprint and Overseas Earnings
With this latest Friday tally, the total net collection across India has risen to 319.73 crore rupees, while the domestic gross collection stands at 377.66 crore rupees. The title also continued to generate business across international territories, collecting 0.15 crore rupees gross overseas on day 57. That pushed its cumulative overseas earnings to 39.35 crore rupees. Combining domestic receipts with foreign returns, the worldwide gross total of Hanuman Ansh has reached 417.01 crore rupees, comfortably crossing the 400 crore benchmark.
From a Modest Start to a Historic 2026 Blockbuster
Helmed by director Vishal Chaturvedi, the film dramatises the spiritual life and journey of saint Neem Karoli Baba, originally known as Laxmi Narayan. Produced on an exceptionally low production budget, the biographical project features Shobhinav Satya in the lead role. After a very sluggish theatrical start on August 7, the project gained rapid momentum through compelling storytelling, profound spiritual resonance, and strong word of mouth, transforming into one of the most profitable blockbuster releases of 2026.
Holding Ground Against High-Profile Competition
The marketplace witnessed a formidable rival with the debut of Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, which dominated theatrical screens with over 15,000 shows and recorded an opening day net figure of 66.75 crore rupees. Such a heavy footprint typically clears existing releases out of cinema halls. Nevertheless, Hanuman Ansh demonstrated that genuine thematic substance and audience conviction can protect a film against aggressive competition.
