In Saharanpur, the Rural Self Employment Training Institute regularly undertakes initiatives to empower underprivileged individuals by imparting practical training and fostering financial independence. Continuing this mission, a 30-day free refrigeration and air conditioning training program is once again being launched. Organized under the aegis of Punjab National Bank and the Rural Self Employment Training Institute, this free training camp is designed to help participants acquire technical skills so they can establish their own independent livelihoods.
Syllabus of the 30-Day Refrigeration and AC Training
This comprehensive training spans 30 days, covering the fundamental principles and operational mechanisms of refrigeration. Participants will receive hands-on instruction in air conditioning installation, servicing, and routine maintenance. The curriculum includes essential technical procedures such as gas charging, leak testing, and vacuuming. Trainees will also study the intricate details of compressors, condensers, and evaporators, alongside electrical wiring, control systems, fault finding, and troubleshooting. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate, and the institute will provide continuous guidance for up to 2 years to support their professional journey.
Training Starts on August 5 and Eligibility Criteria
The training sessions are scheduled to commence on August 5, with candidate selection strictly based on a first-come, first-served policy. The entire training is completely free of charge, and complimentary arrangements for food and night accommodation will be provided by the institute for those who wish to stay. To be eligible, applicants must have passed at least class 8, fall within the age bracket of 18 to 49 years, and be permanent residents of the Saharanpur district.
Annual Training Program and High Industry Demand
Amit Kumar Chaubey from PNB RSETI noted that this 30-day refrigeration and air conditioning course is conducted only once a year and experiences high demand. Amid the current emphasis on technical skill development and rapid urbanization, the widespread use of refrigerators and air conditioners in homes, offices, and commercial establishments has created a strong market demand for skilled technicians. The classes are set to begin on the 10th, and the application deadline is August 5.
Seat Capacity and Priority Categories
The program has a strict capacity limit of maximum 30 seats, filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority during selection will be given to BPL cardholders, members of SC and ST communities, MGNREGA workers, persons with disabilities, and individuals living below the poverty line. In the event that sufficient candidates from these categories are not available, general category applicants will also be accommodated.
Post-Training Loan Assistance and How to Apply
Following the completion of the training, individuals who wish to open their own service centers can access loan facilitation of up to ₹5 लाख through the Chief Minister Youth Entrepreneurship Scheme or other applicable subsidized government loan programs.
