According to the police, as the duo was traveling along the Shanti Sarovar road, they failed to spot a cow resting on the unlit stretch of the street. Their motorcycle crashed into the animal, causing both riders to lose their balance and fall onto the pavement.
In a tragic turn of events, before the two young men could recover from the initial fall, a rapidly approaching car from behind ran over them. The sheer speed of the vehicle left the victims with critical injuries. Bystanders and local residents present near the scene immediately rushed the heavily injured friends to a nearby medical facility for emergency care. Despite the best efforts of the medical staff, Karan Nayak died during the course of his treatment.
