Right behind him, fellow Indian opening batter Abhishek Sharma has consolidated his second position by significantly reducing the deficit. Sharma now stands at 893 rating points, leaving just an eleven-point difference between the two teammates. The shrinking margin sets up a compelling battle for the top ranking in the upcoming international fixtures.
England Duo Harry Brook and Jos Buttler Advance Up the Order
England batters made substantial progress in the latest update following heavy international action. Pakistan batter Sahibzada Farhan occupies the third position with 848 rating points. Right behind him, England captain Harry Brook registered a massive five-place jump, climbing to fourth position with a rating of 793 points. Brook's compatriot Jos Buttler also enjoyed a positive surge, rising two places to claim fifth spot with 789 rating points.
Tilak Varma Slips Down the Ladder Amid Tight Top 10 Race
In contrast to the gains made at the top, Indian left-hander Tilak Varma experienced a slight setback in the updated list. Varma dropped one position to ninth place with a rating of 726 points, placing him closer to the boundary of the top ten tier. Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh holds tenth position with 706 rating points.
