Dr. Pramod Kumar, who works in the nephrology department at SKMCH, had just finished his workout at a local fitness center and was heading back home when the criminals struck.
Armed Criminals Intercepted The Victim
As Dr. Pramod Kumar was walking towards his residence near Imlichatti within the Brahmpura police station limits, two masked individuals on a motorcycle approached him unexpectedly. The pillion rider lunged forward and forcefully snatched a heavy gold chain weighing approximately 25 grams from his neck. When the doctor attempted to put up resistance, the perpetrators immediately pulled out a firearm to intimidate him before speeding away from the scene.
CCTV Footage Captures The Entire Episode
The entire robbery was caught clearly on a surveillance camera installed outside a nearby shop. The video footage shows the two suspects executing the crime and making a swift escape on their motorcycle. Promptly after receiving information about the incident, Brahmpura police station house officer Vipin Ranjan arrived at the location with a team to initiate an investigation. Law enforcement personnel are currently reviewing footage from multiple cameras in the vicinity to track down the culprits.
Stolen Ornaments Valued At Four Lakh Rupees
The victim stated in his formal complaint that the stolen gold chain is worth nearly four lakh rupees in the market.
