Educational institutions and law enforcement agencies in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, have initiated a major crackdown on students involved in brawls, hooliganism, and substance abuse under the guise of academics. The local administration has ramped up efforts to restore discipline on campuses following a series of concerning incidents that have raised questions about student safety and institutional order. Authorities prepared a comprehensive dossier of individuals whose activities disrupted the peaceful environment of academic spaces.
Institutions Act on Police Dossier
Dehradun police compiled detailed dossiers on 98 students who were found engaging in various unlawful and disruptive activities within university and college premises. This information was subsequently handed over to the respective college managements for necessary administrative steps. Acting under the direct orders of SSP Pramendra Dobal, the institutions processed the reports and handed down suspensions to 84 students, while 4 individuals faced complete termination from their programs due to the gravity of their actions.

Law enforcement authorities have emphasized that monitoring will remain rigorous to ensure that educational hubs do not become breeding grounds for unlawful behavior. Incidents of recklessness and safety hazards surrounding student communities have previously drawn public concern, making heightened surveillance a priority for local administration.
