Serious questions are once again being raised regarding the administrative standards of private educational institutions in Kota. A troubling incident has come to light from Tilak Senior Secondary School, located in the Rangabadi area, where a 10-year-old fifth-grade student was allegedly subjected to physical assault, verbal abuse, and intimidation by a teacher. According to the grieving family, the incident occurred on August 24, and although they promptly lodged a formal complaint with the school management, the matter was not treated with the seriousness it deserved. However, allegations that the incident is being suppressed due to political clout have not been independently verified.
According to the relatives of the student, Aksh, the teacher brutally assaulted the child inside the classroom. They alleged that the young boy sustained injuries from the incident and remains deeply traumatized and frightened ever since. The family further claimed that the teacher verbally abused the child and threatened him with dire consequences. Distressed by the ordeal, the family visited the school management to demand strict disciplinary action. When they tried to reach school director Mohit Gautam, he reportedly stated that he was out of town and directed them to speak with the acting principal instead.
The family alleged that the acting principal also failed to take their grievance seriously, attempting to dismiss the matter by labeling the child's injuries as minor rather than taking corrective measures. Despite repeated complaints, the family asserts that no concrete action has been taken by the authorities yet. Beyond the alleged physical abuse, the relatives have raised serious concerns about the overall safety and security arrangements within the school premises. They pointed out that stray animals are frequently seen roaming around the campus, and adequate precautions to safeguard the children are conspicuously absent.
Questions Raised Over School Safety and Compliance Standards
The controversy extends far beyond the alleged classroom assault, as parents have started questioning the broader safety protocols enforced within the school grounds. Concerns have also been raised regarding the institution's fire NOC and compliance with mandatory safety standards. The family claims that the school management is leveraging political influence to sweep the entire episode under the rug. Since these specific allegations have not yet been independently corroborated, a thorough and impartial inquiry will be necessary to bring the complete truth to light and determine accountability.
Efforts were made to reach out to the school administration to obtain their side of the story regarding the allegations. However, the school authorities did not offer any detailed response to the media, maintaining that the main director was currently away from Kota. This silence has left several pressing questions unanswered, particularly whether the education department will step in to investigate the complaint and inspect the security measures protecting students. If the allegations are proven correct, demands for strict action against the responsible parties are bound to escalate.
For now, the case remains pending while awaiting administrative oversight and formal inquiry. The most critical question resonating through this incident is how effectively responsible institutions respond to complaints concerning the safety and welfare of children enrolled in schools. Parents and local observers alike are watching closely to see whether accountability will be established and if steps will be taken to prevent such distressing incidents from recurring inside educational environments.
