A concerning incident involving law enforcement has emerged from Kaithal district in Haryana, where an emergency police vehicle crashed into a residential house. While the local police department has been actively running anti-drug and anti-addiction awareness drives across the district, three police personnel deployed in a Dial 112 emergency response vehicle have been accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and crashing into a home's entrance gate in the Seevan area.
High-Speed Crash and Attempted Escape
The accident occurred on the night of August 24 at around 8:40 PM in the Seevan police station jurisdiction. According to complainant Kuldeep Singh Cheema, a high-speed Dial 112 vehicle lost control and rammed straight into the main gate of his residence. The impact severely damaged the front section of the police vehicle and blew out one of its tires. Three police personnel were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident: SPO Jagir Singh, SPO Sukhwinder, and EHC Deepak. Immediately following the crash, the driver reportedly attempted to flee the scene with the damaged vehicle, but nearby residents gathered quickly after hearing the loud crash and intercepted the vehicle before it could drive away.
Liquor Bottle Allegations and Ongoing Medical Investigation
Eyewitnesses and the homeowner alleged that an alcohol bottle was visible inside the emergency vehicle, and the three police personnel appeared visibly intoxicated. Kuldeep Singh Cheema promptly filed a formal complaint at the Seevan police station, requesting an immediate medical evaluation of the three officers alongside strict administrative and legal action. Upon receiving information about the commotion, Seevan Station House Officer (SHO) Jai Bhagwan arrived at the spot with a police team to control the situation. The involved personnel were subsequently taken to a medical facility for testing. Police officials confirmed that the complaint has been officially registered, and further legal procedures will be initiated once the official medical examination reports are delivered by the doctors.
