A severe road accident on the Kichha Highway near Shimla Pistaur in the Udham Singh Nagar district of Uttarakhand has claimed the lives of two motorcycle-riding youths. The collision was so severe that both the vehicle and the riders were hurled a considerable distance away upon impact. The entire incident was captured by a nearby CCTV camera, and the resulting footage is currently circulating widely across social media platforms.
Identification of the Victims
According to the details gathered, the deceased individuals have been identified as 18-year-old Sujal, son of Subal, residing at Motipur Ward Number-2, Dineshpur, and 25-year-old Samir Mandal, son of Sahdev Mandal, also hailing from Ward Number-2, Dineshpur. Both youths were traveling back toward their homes from Shaktifarm when the tragedy struck near Shimla Pistaur.
Loss of Control After Hitting a Stone
As they approached Shimla Pistaur, their speeding motorcycle rode over a stone lying on the roadway and instantly lost balance. The bike careened out of control and slammed violently into the road divider before skidding far away. The impact was powerful enough to throw both riders and their machine across the asphalt. Both sustained severe injuries that proved fatal at the scene. Following the incident, local police took possession of the bodies and transferred them for post-mortem examinations.
New Car Delivery Incident in Shivamogga
In a separate incident in the town of Sagar within Karnataka's Shivamogga district, another major accident occurred during the delivery of a new car on Ayudha Puja. A newly purchased Maruti car lost control while exiting a showroom, smashed through safety barricades, and surged onto the main road. The runaway vehicle struck a passing motorcycle, leaving both the rider and the pillion passenger seriously injured. This entire sequence was likewise recorded on CCTV.
Festive Delivery Turns into Mishap
Customers had arrived at the showroom to purchase a new vehicle for Ayudha Puja. After completing the vehicle's worship rituals, showroom staff handed over the keys. However, immediately upon driving out of the showroom, the driver lost control. The car accelerated sharply, demolished the barricades in front of the establishment, and barreled onto the highway where it collided directly with a motorcycle. Locals and showroom employees rushed to assist the injured victims and transported them promptly to a nearby hospital.
