Balyan had previously been involved in legal troubles over his controversial track releases. On 27 July 2023, an FIR was filed against him and 40 of his supporters in Shamli over his provocative song titled "Bhari Court Me Goli Marenge", prompting a police search for his location at the time. Later, on 13 April 2025, a second track by the artist was banned by authorities. Addressing the prohibition, Balyan expressed concern over financial damages, asking "who will bear the loss" before signaling a transition toward Bhojpuri music projects.
