A shocking crime has created widespread fear in the Tilak Nagar locality of West Delhi, where a 21-year-old woman named Muskan was brutally stabbed to death inside her house. The victim was alone at her residence when the violent attack took place. Following the assault, the perpetrator managed to flee the scene immediately. Based on initial inquiries and building surveillance recordings, the suspect has been identified as Imran, who works as a gym trainer. Police officers have seized the CCTV camera footage from the building entrance and launched an active search operation to trace the absconding suspect.
CCTV Footage Captures Suspect as Timeline Unfolds
The tragic event occurred in Old Mahavir Nagar within the Tilak Nagar police jurisdiction. 21-year-old Muskan resided in a rented house alongside her mother and sister. On the evening of the crime, Muskan was present in the apartment alone. At approximately 5:30 PM, gym trainer Imran arrived at her residence. An intense argument reportedly broke out between the two, which rapidly escalated into physical violence. Imran allegedly brandished a knife and attacked Muskan multiple times, causing severe fatal injuries.
Hearing her distressed screams, alarmed neighbors rushed to offer assistance and immediately alerted the local police and emergency ambulance services. When security cameras installed near the building were reviewed, Imran was spotted walking into Muskan's home at around 5:40 PM. Law enforcement agencies are treating this video recording as critical physical evidence in establishing the timeline of the murder.
Victim Profile and Past Harassment Concerns
Muskan was balancing her academic studies with part-time modeling assignments. She belonged to a family comprising three sisters and a younger brother named Akash. According to her friend Aman, the accused gym trainer had been harassing and troubling Muskan for a considerable period prior to this tragic outcome.
Recalling the sequence of events after the assault, Aman stated that he received an urgent phone call from Muskan's elder sister, who was staying in Chandigarh at the time. She urged him to reach the house immediately because someone had stabbed Muskan. Aman alerted his friends and headed straight to the location. By the time he arrived, an ambulance was already transporting Muskan to the hospital. However, upon reaching the medical facility, police personnel restricted access to the upper floors while preserving the crime scene.
Family Suspicions Confirmed as Police Launch Manhunt
Right from the moment the murder came to light, suspicion centered directly upon Imran. Muskan's younger brother Akash informed investigating officers that he was absolutely certain Imran was responsible for taking his sister's life. This assertion was quickly substantiated when investigators analyzed the local CCTV camera feeds and located Imran entering the dwelling around 5:40 PM.
Taking note of the severity of the crime, senior police leadership reached the spot to supervise forensic collection. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Abhishek Gupta inspected the location and reassured the victim's grieving family that dedicated police teams had been deployed. He pledged that the accused gym trainer would be apprehended very soon. Police authorities are continuing their investigation to reconstruct the exact sequence of events leading to the stabbing.
