Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta joined a large Tiranga Yatra held today, walking the route from Rafi Marg to Kartavya Path as part of the capital's Independence Day preparations. BJP's national president Nitin Naveen walked alongside her, and participants carried the tricolour in hand as they marched together in a show of national pride.
A Show of Patriotism on Kartavya Path
The march traced a route rich with symbolism, moving from India Gate, which holds the memory of soldiers' courage and sacrifice, toward Kartavya Path, widely seen as representing the nation's sense of duty. Along the way, the tricolour was visible in full grandeur, giving the impression that the country's history, present and future were bound together in a single thread. The fluttering flag came to stand for India's sacrifice, self-respect, unity and its unwavering resolve to put the nation first.

Sharing the moment on her X handle, Rekha Gupta said she took part "in the dignified presence of BJP national president Nitin Naveen, in the grand Tiranga Yatra organised today from Rafi Marg to Kartavya Path." She described the stretch from India Gate to Kartavya Path, at the heart of the national capital, as a living symbol of the country's spirit on the day.
Senior Leaders Join the March
According to Rekha Gupta, the event was also attended by Delhi BJP state president and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, her cabinet colleagues Pravesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa and Ravindra Indraj, along with a large number of young participants. She said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative, has turned the tricolour into a mass celebration and an expression of national feeling shared by ordinary citizens. She appealed to residents to carry that spirit into every street, neighbourhood and home across Delhi using the hashtag #HarGharTiranga.
Nitin Naveen's Appeal to Join Har Ghar Tiranga
BJP national president Nitin Naveen also posted about the programme on his X handle, saying he took part in the New Delhi event organised under the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's call has turned Har Ghar Tiranga into a strong campaign of public participation, with every section of society joining in enthusiastically to honour the tricolour and express national pride. Naveen said Rekha Gupta, Delhi BJP state president Harsh Malhotra and other senior leaders were present at the event. He appealed to citizens to join the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign this Independence Day, pay tribute to the country's immortal martyrs, and move forward with a resolve to strengthen the nation's unity and integrity.
