The examination, conducted on July 20 for the Shalya Tantra-1 subject of the BMMS course, was held across 26 affiliated ayurvedic colleges in Gujarat, involving nearly 2,000 students. Concerns intensified after tests concluded and information matching the question paper spread widely across social media networks.
Uncanny Match: 11 Out of 12 Questions Found Identical
The allegations gained serious traction when official cross-verifications revealed a startling overlap. Out of the 12 questions set in the Shalya Tantra-1 examination paper, 11 questions were found to be exactly identical to the points circulated on WhatsApp prior to the commencement of the exam. Following this discovery, the matter was immediately brought to the attention of the examination controller for urgent scrutiny.
University Probe and College Link Under Scrutiny
Addressing the development, University In-charge Examination Director HP Jhala stated that the examination had initially concluded without any reported disruptions during the morning session. However, details surfaced later in the evening indicating that key examination material had been shared on social media ahead of time. In response, university authorities immediately initiated a formal inquiry process.
The Vice Chancellor of Gujarat Ayurved University confirmed that a three-member investigation committee comprising senior officials has been established to conduct a comprehensive probe. Preliminary findings suggest a potential link to Bal Hanuman Ayurvedic Mahavidyalaya in Gujarat. University administration maintained that if the investigation confirms any breach of protocols, paper leak, or insider involvement, strict legal and administrative measures will be taken against those responsible.
Student Outfits Demand Impartial Investigation
The incident has sparked strong reactions from student organizations in the region. Representatives from Youth Congress and NSUI Jamnagar submitted a formal representation to the administration of Gujarat Ayurved University, demanding an independent, high-level inquiry into the entire sequence of events. Student leaders urged that if allegations of a question paper leak are substantiated, stringent disciplinary and legal action must be instituted against every guilty individual to safeguard student interests.
