According to popular cultural beliefs, any wish whispered directly into the ears of Lord Ganesha's mouse companion is delivered straight to the deity himself. However, due to the immense crowd of devotees present at the venue, the security personnel and temple management had to enforce strict crowd control measures, which ultimately prevented her from completing this symbolic ritual.

The actor turned heads at the pandal with her highly refined ethnic styling. Shilpa chose a graceful saree styled elegantly with a sleeveless, high-necked maroon blouse. Shilpa explained that her family has made it a strict point to bring home only environmentally safe idols for several years now as part of their contribution toward ecological preservation. Following the conclusion of the ritual prayers, the family, joined by close associates and Bollywood friends, celebrated the immersion ceremony with high-spirited dancing to the beats of traditional dhol drums before bidding farewell to the deity.
