Paras Chhabra has established a distinct identity in the world of television, yet his path to success was marked by significant struggles. Although he is a major star today, his fortunes truly turned in 2012 when he participated in the show 'Splitsvilla 5'. For the boy from Delhi, this reality show proved to be a gateway to widespread fame. Not only did he showcase his charisma on the show, but he also emerged as the season's winner alongside Akanksha Popli. This victory effectively opened all the doors to the glamour world for him permanently.
A Childhood Defined by Hardship
Paras did not have a conventional childhood. He lost his father at a very young age. His mother, Ruby Chhabra, raised him single-handedly despite facing extremely difficult circumstances. Witnessing his mother's struggle instilled in Paras a strong determination to achieve something significant. While pursuing his college education, he began trying his luck in modeling. In his early days, he took on various small jobs just to cover his pocket money. Gradually, he started securing roles in advertisements.
Bigg Boss 13 as a Turning Point
After the success of 'Splitsvilla 5', there was no looking back for Paras. He appeared in 'The Serial' and returned to participate in 'Splitsvilla 8' in 2015. He shifted his focus to television serials, showcasing his acting prowess in shows like 'Badho Bahu', 'Aarambh', 'Kaleerein', and 'Aghori'. His portrayal of Ravana in the serial 'Vighnaharta Ganesh' was particularly well-received by the audience. However, the biggest turning point in his career came in 2019 when he entered 'Bigg Boss 13'. He reached the top 6 of the show and walked away on the finale day with a briefcase containing 10 lakhs.
Podcasts and Digital Success
Paras's personal life and reports of his link-ups have often dominated media headlines. His past relationship with actress Akanksha Puri and his close proximity to Mahira Sharma during 'Bigg Boss 13' were subjects of much speculation. In 2014, Paras also attempted to break into Bollywood with the film 'M3-Midsummer Midnight Mumbai', although the film did not achieve much success. Today, Paras is making waves in the digital sphere alongside his television work. He runs his own podcast, 'Aabra Ka Daabra Paras Chhabra', where he engages in candid conversations with major stars from the television industry.
