During the event, she herself addressed why she chose to bend her longstanding rule just for this project.
Nayanthara is set to essay the character of Ganga in the upcoming Yash starrer Toxic. While speaking at the trailer launch, she shared her thoughts regarding the venture. However, what caught everyone's attention was her explanation regarding why she typically avoids promotional tours and media gatherings.
She mentioned that she has no inherent issues with promotional functions, but she simply does not excel at managing them. Expressing her discomfort, she noted that she cannot present her thoughts as fluidly as other performers do, which is why she generally prefers staying away from the spotlight of promotional campaigns. She emphasized that her absence from such gatherings should never be misconstrued as arrogance or a lack of dedication toward her own projects.
When it came to Toxic, Nayanthara explained that there were multiple considerations behind her attendance, but the primary factor was Yash himself. She stated that a single phone call from Yash was more than enough for her to decide to be present at the ceremony.
The actress also opened up about her interaction with Yash, praising his persona in high regard. She noted that while every major figure in the film industry possesses unique qualities that contribute to their stardom, her initial meeting with Yash left a distinct impression because his powerful on-screen aura mirrors his real-life demeanor.
