Recently, television actress Hina Khan also opened up about her very first encounter with Shah Rukh, revealing how his warmth, simplicity, and courteous behavior deeply touched her heart despite him being completely exhausted at the time.
Reliving The Flight Encounter On A Podcast
While speaking on a podcast hosted by Rocky Jaiswal, Rubina Dilaik, and Abhinav Shukla, Hina Khan looked back at the moment she crossed paths with Shah Rukh Khan. Hina shared that it happened when her hit serial ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ had been on air for only about a year and a half, and she coincidentally ran into him on a flight. The actress recalled that Shah Rukh was fast asleep right in the seat directly next to hers. She mentioned that she could hardly believe her eyes and was eager to get a picture with him, but chose to wait since he was in deep slumber. A little while later, when he woke up to have some coffee, she waved gently and requested a photograph.
Keeping The Promise Despite Exhaustion
Continuing her story, Hina Khan stated that Shah Rukh asked her to wait for a moment, promising he would pose for a picture. After finishing his coffee, he dozed off again, leaving Hina to wonder if the opportunity had slipped away. However, as soon as the flight landed, Shah Rukh woke up, personally called her over, and willingly clicked a picture with her. She further added that even inside the airport bus, the actor walked straight to the very last seat and fell back asleep. During that period, he was intensely busy promoting one of his films and had not managed to get proper sleep for several days due to his hectic schedule.
Upcoming Action Thriller Project ‘King’
On the professional front, Shah Rukh Khan will soon be seen starring in the highly anticipated action thriller film ‘King’, directed by Siddharth Anand. This project holds a special place as it will also feature his daughter Suhana Khan sharing screen space with him. Touted as one of the major cinematic releases of 2026, the movie will showcase Shah Rukh performing high-octane stunts, a glimpse of which has already been teased to the audience. Reports also suggest that Deepika Padukone will be a part of the film. The much-awaited feature is scheduled to hit theatres during the Christmas season this year.
