The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the re-examination for three subjects under the UGC NET June 2026 session following candidate complaints regarding paper errors. Candidates appearing for English, Commerce, and Sociology will now take their exams on September 9 and September 10, 2026. Re-Examination Schedule and Timings
According to the official timetable released by NTA, the English subject re-test will be held on September 9 in Shift-1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. On the same day, September 9, the Commerce paper re-examination will take place in Shift-2 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Furthermore, the Sociology paper re-exam is scheduled for September 10 in Shift-1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
UGC NET June 2026 Background Details
Earlier, NTA conducted the UGC NET June 2026 examination between June 22 and June 30 across 87 subjects nationwide. UGC NET is a vital national-level entrance test held to determine candidate eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions in colleges and universities, and admission into PhD programs.
