The unique taste of snacks served at Reena Devi's food cart in Chhapra has captured the attention of local food lovers. Customers who try the food once often return repeatedly. A notable aspect of the clientele is the large presence of women and children who gather to enjoy the preparations. For the past eight years, Reena Devi has been operating her cart and serving flavorful dishes to eager buyers every single day.
The stall operates daily from 4 PM to 8 PM, and crowds begin to gather as soon as the cart is set up. A standout feature of her cooking is the complete absence of garlic and onion in any of her items, including samosas and chaat, even during festive periods. Despite lacking these common ingredients, the dishes remain remarkably flavorful. She prepares her own spice blends at home, incorporating ingredients like ajwain, nigella seeds, black pepper, and turmeric to achieve an exceptional taste.
Reena Devi shared that she prepares items like samosas, chaat, pakoras, potato fingers, and kachari with strict attention to purity. The homemade spices significantly enhance the flavor of the food. Operating the cart right near her home, the outstanding quality attracts not only neighborhood residents but also people traveling from distant places just to eat.
Local resident Kanti Devi noted that all items prepared by Reena Devi, including samosas, pakoris, and kachari, taste delicious. People wait for the food to be ready, but it sells out almost immediately after preparation. The chaat and pakori remain major favorites among the buyers.
The food is fried in pure mustard oil, with Reena Devi placing strong emphasis on hygiene and cleanliness. The combination of homemade spices and strict standards of purity continues to draw food enthusiasts from near and far to her neighborhood cart.
