The busy Shankar Chowk area in Sitamarhi, Bihar, is currently witnessing a massive influx of food enthusiasts drawn to a fast-growing culinary destination. A compact food stall run by two brothers has rapidly evolved into the town's newest go-to spot for street food lovers. Over the past two and a half months, the establishment has successfully carved out a distinct identity for itself. While locals initially knew very little about it, food lovers from far and wide are now traveling to the location specifically to relish the delectable dishes being served. This steady surge in patronage has turned a modest setup into a major local talking point.
A Diverse Menu Featuring Specialized Delicacies and Unique Shakes
When it comes to the variety of food options available at the stall, customers are certainly not left wanting for choices. Co-owner Deepak Kumar shared that the menu is packed with several popular items tailored for visitors, including soya masala chaap, soya malai chaap, afghani chaap, and irani chaap. In addition to these variations, the kitchen prepares mushroom tikka, paneer tikka, achari options, malai flavors, and flavorful frankie rolls. Furthermore, their special mushroom shake and veg shake have emerged as major hits, capturing the attention and palate of local residents who frequent the spot.
Remarkable Surge in Daily Sales and Customer Demand
Reflecting on the journey since the launch, the operators noted that customer demand for their snacks has skyrocketed compared to the early days. While they initially managed to sell only 20 to 25 sticks on an average day, those numbers have since climbed significantly. Daily sales now routinely touch 35, 40, 50, and on certain occasions, even surpass those figures. As the unique taste of their offerings gained wider recognition in the local market, the resulting jump in overall business has brought visible joy and satisfaction to the faces of both brothers.
Pocket-Friendly Pricing Matched with High Quality Standards
Alongside the rich flavors, the pricing strategy at the stall has been kept entirely pocket-friendly to suit ordinary consumers. Dishes start at a modest rate of just 70 rupees, ensuring that gourmet street food remains accessible to all. Plate options are structured across affordable tiers priced at 70, 80, 90, 100, 110, and 120 rupees. The combination of budget-friendly rates, reliable food quality, and a unique presentation style has firmly established Shankar Chowk as a favorite destination for anyone with an appetite for good food.
