Natural Star Nani's latest action thriller The Paradise has kicked off its theatrical run with an impressive box office start. Although the collection dipped after the opening days and the movie failed to create a massive wave over the weekend, it has successfully crossed the ninety-crore milestone at the Indian box office. Meanwhile, the Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer horror fantasy film The One registered an exceptional collection jump on its third day, which was Sunday, as both films continue to pull strong numbers across theaters.
The Paradise Opening Records and Box Office Journey
Despite negative reviews and criticism from film critics, the South cinema star's action flick managed to pull off a phenomenal beginning at the box office. The movie created history by recording the biggest opening of Nani's career. It earned 11.60 crore through paid previews on Wednesday, followed by a massive 34.65 crore business on its official opening day on Thursday. This brought the total record opening to 46.25 crore, making it the actor's biggest film ever. However, collections witnessed a drop after Friday, coming down to 14.90 crore, before registering a slight recovery on Saturday with 15.25 crore.
Sunday Collections and Total Domestic Earnings
According to the latest data from Sacnilk, The Paradise raked in 15.70 crore on Sunday up to 10 PM. While this figure is considered robust for a debut Sunday, it did not show any extraordinary spike compared to Saturday's figures. Combining these four days of earnings, the total domestic box office collection of the film in India now stands at 92.10 crore.
Language Distribution and Star Cast
The Paradise was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, though the lion's share of its revenue continues to stem from the Telugu version. On Sunday alone, the movie generated 8.82 crore solely from the Telugu belt. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the project has been produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Ishan सक्सेना. The film features Nani alongside Mohan Babu, Kayadu Lohar, Sonali Kulkarni, and Raghav Juyal in pivotal roles.
The One Registers Strong Weekend Growth
Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer horror-fantasy thriller The One: Force of the Forest arrived in cinemas on Friday. After starting in single digits on its opening day, the movie showed growth on the second day, followed by a massive surge in earnings on its third day, which was Sunday. As per Sacnilk reports, The One collected 14 crore on Sunday, marking its highest single-day collection since release.
Holding Firm Amid Heavy Competition
Despite facing fierce competition at the box office from Nani's The Paradise and Marvel's re-release Avengers Endgame Encore, The One managed to secure its footing firmly. Sidharth Malhotra's movie started its box office account with 8 crore on Friday, subsequently pulling in 11.25 crore on Saturday with a noticeable jump. With Sunday's earnings added, the three-day total box office collection of the film in India has reached 33.25 crore.
