A political stir has unfolded in Faridabad, Haryana, where Badkhal constituency BJP MLA Dhanesh Adlakha openly expressed his extreme frustration over the working style of a local executive engineer. The legislator lost his temper right inside his office while interacting with councilors and sanitation inspectors who had gathered there to register their protests against the civic official.
Sanitation Inspectors Raised Grievances
The incident reportedly took place on October 4 while MLA Dhanesh Adlakha was holding consultations with local councilors at his office. During this gathering, a group of sanitation inspectors and supervisors from the Badkhal zone approached him with serious complaints. The staff alleged that the executive engineer in charge of the Swachh Bharat Mission, Mandeep, failed to provide essential sanitation equipment and completely ignored their daily operational grievances.
Direct Call to the Additional Commissioner
Disturbed by the plight of the sanitation workers and the unanimous complaints from the councilors, the MLA immediately placed a phone call to Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Gaurav Antil. During the conversation, the legislator stated that the official was completely non-functional and that every single councilor in the area was opposed to his continuation in the post. The MLA used strong words to criticize the officer's performance during the telephonic exchange.
Specific Demanding Reassignments Given
Pushing for immediate administrative action, the MLA detailed specific staff adjustments during his conversation with the senior municipal officer. He directed that Mandeep be removed from his current charge, Sanjeev be given full charge, Lakhmichand be removed, Vinod Mittal be assigned additional charge, and Nitin Kadian retain the executive engineer's portfolio.
Assurance Given by Municipal Administration
Responding to the strict directives issued by the elected representative, Additional Commissioner Gaurav Antil assured the MLA that alternative arrangements would be made promptly and another officer would be given the charge. The additional commissioner also remarked that once the directive was acted upon, the councilors would no longer need to visit the office regarding the matter.
