As soon as a student reaches the campus and taps their card on the scanner, an instant confirmation text message lands on their parents' mobile phones.
The coverage extends across all levels, from class 1 up to class 12. At the end of the school day, pupils tap their cards once more upon exit, triggering another notification to their households confirming their departure. This establishment marks the first government school anywhere in Haryana to install an automated real-time notification setup of this kind for its student body.
How the Automated Punch-In and SMS Alert Architecture Works
The operational framework relies on personalized digital identification cards issued to pupils. Specialized scanning terminals have been positioned at the entrance points of the school grounds. When entering each morning, a student touches the identification card against the sensor. The central database logs the exact entry timestamp immediately, which simultaneously pushes an automated text alert to the parents' registered mobile number confirming arrival on the premises.
The reverse procedure takes place once the dismissal bell rings. Before departing for home, the student taps the card again at the terminal to register an exit log. A second text alert instantly notifies the family that their child has departed the school gates. By creating an uninterrupted verification loop, the mechanism ensures that parents know both the exact arrival hour and the departure time every single day.
Institutional Planning and Technical Deployment
Reflecting on the digital milestone, the school principal, Ramveer, noted that introducing technology into student daily routines brings significant peace of mind to working parents. Situated in an urban area, the school caters to children spanning diverse age brackets, from early primary learners to high school seniors. Because families carry natural apprehension while children are on their commute, automated updates provide tangible relief and maintain strict attendance discipline.
Ramveer pointed out that the setup is especially advantageous for the security of female students, as precise travel windows between home and school are consistently recorded. He stated that such an automated tracking setup is rare among state-run schools across Haryana and is often absent even across several private institutions. Bringing the system into operation took weeks of ground preparation, with logistical coordination from the local member of legislative assembly's support team. For the technical implementation and hardware integration, Techno Crush from Gurugram was commissioned. At present, digital cards have been produced and handed out to more than 50 percent of the student body, while registration work for the remainder proceeds on schedule.

Students across senior secondary grades have welcomed the transition enthusiastically. Abhishek, a class 12 student, stated that the smart card eliminates constant calls back and forth, as punching in upon arrival immediately assures his family of his safety. Kavita, a fellow class 12 student, highlighted the protective advantage of the system, observing that prompt text alerts remove uncertainty from her parents' daily routine.
